There are some 15 individual members on this board, alone, within the first few pages of this forum who's vehicles have suffered from this issue. All of the vehicles have been 2009 or 2010 X5 35ds. There are more on Bimmerfest and other forums, which can easily be found. There are even more which can be found via google searches, and yahoo, which produce slightly different search results.
There are roughly 5 users, of this board, who have specific information regarding to this issue and have dealt with BMWNA in relation to it.
Some vehicles have self-corrected, some have been towed, and some have gone to the dealer to be returned with a "not able to duplicate" message. Some owners have had their vehicles replaced by BMW and some have sold them.
These are what are confined to the Internet alone. Logic dictates that only a handful of X5 owners participate on forums. Though, even if every single individual who's suffered this issue has posted their experience online, you'll again, find over 15 member on this board alone.
A search is simple to perform, so for those doubters please do so. ARD even in the face of facts, you continue do doubt Montoya? What is the point of doing so? Do you believe he's making the issue up, and taking is 35d into the shop during the first 150-miles simply to revisit his dealership?
Honestly? What gives you reason to doubt him, or what BMW is doing to correct the issue?
Have you a response?
