Also had mine in for a "laundry list" of fixes - valve noise, peeling steering wheel and headlight switches, door handle sticking, no power to hitch, etc, 13 items in total. All fixed except for the weekly "high battery drain" issue (they blamed it on the radar detector). Dealer's around here are going out of their way to keep customers happy. Car was at the dealer almost 2 weeks for the lifter replacement/parts and they gave me a brand new with only 12 miles loaded 5 series. Other BMW dealer in Annapolis had a dealer special for coolant and brake fluid change for $139! Took advantage of it for my Z3.

Mine seams to be doing fine so far,I live about 30mi. from the dealer. They gave me a 328 to drive for the two weeks, ok but not an X5. I would tell them I need a loaner if they refuse call or e-mail customer service on the BMW site, trust me it works they do not like getting calls from corp. They delivered mine to my house and also gave me the latest nav.disk.for my inconvenience.

Mine is all good as well. Dealer had the car for over two weeks and handed me 6 pages of repair notes showing all that was replaced or repaired regarding the windshield washer leak. Not only was some tubing near the bottom of the reservoir leaking (requiring removal of right front inner fender liner), but another hose that runs over the transmission tunnel in the car was leaking--this one promptly emptied the entire contents of the reservoir into the driver's footwell and created a bit of a mess. Because of that second leak they had to remove dash, A/B pillars, seats, carpet, console, and pretty much everything inside the car to make the repair. The repair order shows that the carpet was removed, dried for two days, and any remaining water was vacuumed up. The best part is that it was put back together perfectly and thus far, I have many fewer squeaks and rattles than before. No smells of washer fluid, no problems. It took a while but I am happy with the result.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a while... Craig |
