I mentioned earlier in this thread that this is certainly a possibility. I can only say that the words my SA used were "two brand new recalls" (they must have been new because they did not show up on the key read when my vehicle was in the week before.

I have an apt scheduled next week to have them completed.

Recall===> "Campaign"

Wife's 35d just came back from an overnite at the dealer for a parking brake failure message.. Anyone had that one yet? Repair order says: Perform ISID test, found fault 6011 emf control unit internal fault, not present, chk wiring @emf connector & harness for chafing. OK. clear faults, cust to monitor" Looks like they didnt find anything and just reset the display.

While in there, they said they were performing 2 "campaigns". Here's what the RO says they did:

Job #2- Perform recall 13-03-10. Program & encode w/CAS

Job #3- Perform recall 13-04-10. Replace charge air temp sensor. Parts: 1- P/N: 13-62-7-812-741 Temp sensor.

This must be the 2 'recalls' people are talking about. Anyone know what the jargon above refers to?

Ah, as I suspected- no recall.

Very interestingly a few of us have had issues with the diesel in which we'd get sporadic 'intake air errors'... the suspicions was that the programming in the DME and perhaps the calibration on the intake sensor were causing issues.... So after perhaps, what? 15 reports here, it seems they've finally undertaken an official fix for this. AND, determined that even cars that have no failure need to be fixed.

This was expected. (at lest by me)

I had the dreaded handbrake issues ..they had to replace the whole electro unit - it has something to do with wiring rubbing on panels which can cause them to short - I suspect they have fixed this in 2011 models ..but you wont be the last to complain about it in a 2009 / 2010 model .... my faults got so bad in my 2009 that they upgraded me to 2010 and bought back my 2009.
