I picked up my 35d on July 9th and it came with a cargo cover. I'm in Canada

CARGO COVER WAS INCLUDED! BUILD DATES July 2nd - July 16th.

I've ordered 7 weeks ago with original build date for around mid August, but then someone backed out I guess and my prod date got moved up.

I am planning to install mud flaps (not sure yet), roof deflector and hood deflector... Probably this weekend if it is not too hot.

What about oval exhaust tips like on the 5.0. Is that an option or can you even get them as a dealer add-on?

It would require, I guess, bumper retrofit. Unlikel 2007-2010 models, where it was the same bumper from which you could cut out large hole, the 2011+ bumpers dont have extra cutouts.

First impressions after 55 miles... :)

20s - ride is about same quality as 19s, let's see how it will hold as tire wears down

Mpg - 25.1 avg my commute to work, which is 80% hwy over slight up-and-down hills. Ocassionally over 30mpg on highway. Cruise control set to 77mph. Again, the engine only has ~2 hours on it, I'd imagine it will get even better. For comparison, I was getting 16.5mpg on my 2008 4.8 on the exact same trip, and I had to feather the throttle.

Range - currently showing 450, 55 on odometer (total 505 total), and I've idling yesterday for at least 1 hour if not more while setting the car up. Gauge only down 2 small notches.

Comfort seats - unbelievable.

Passing power on highway - all there the same. The amount of torque is just unbelievable, I think I am going to be driving it in manual shift mode.

There is no turbo lag, it is hesitation of tranny deciding between 1st and 2nd gear off the start (typically our cars start from 2nd gear unless you put them in DS mode)

Diesel rumble - I can hear it on local roads and off the start (at the moment I hear it more than muffler), but it is very quiet on highway.

Couple of other notes how 2011 is different from 2008:

Negatives:
1. In the trunk, there are no more side hooks for grocery bags
2. In the trunk, there is no longer small net mesh on the left side wall
3. On the center console, the change holder is not as deep as it used to be (my daughter used to be able to put here Env2 in it, now you can only put some coins)
4. There is no more DVD changer in the glove compartment even with the premium sound system
5. For the Active Ventilated Package, even rear seats come with perforated leather, even though there is no ventilation in the back.
6. There is no pheumatic trunk floor holder... I guess it was gone on 2010s as well

Positives:
1. Rear doors no longer have ashtrays - instead there is a more functional cup holder
2. Front seems to be sitting a bit lower compared to 2008... It might be just perception
3. Definitely dig new bumpers and new fog light location...
4. Leather on the steering wheel is much softer
