check this tread, the vendor said it is in packaging on oct 2007, 3 years later still not sending out, what do u think ?

It was supposed to be ready on August 30th, then they pushed to October 30th. Not holding by breath.

Lol, no one takes two years to develop speakers. This product is obviously not coming.

I emailed them 2 days ago, and got this response:

This is something we have in the works. Working on making it available soon!
No ETA just yet.

Correction: That response was to my inquiry about having an e70 X5 subwoofer package available.

Don't worry, on October 30th they will update the website to say December 31st.

Shame. I put their speakers in my M3 and was very pleased. Sad to see them drop the ball on this one.

Thank you for the kind words. We do not release systems that do not work or do not provide proper upgrades. We prototype, test and retest. If we are not happy we redo it.

In this case we have found BMW used different drivers in the X5 that required additional tooling to properly plug and play and bolt in. This prevented a problem. We have drivers that work but we want them to be bolt in. We don't want adapters, spacers or anything like that to be needed. The X5, Z4 and X3(as well as others) use the same physical speaker but they have different mounts and this we need to match.

The complete line up for the 3 Series was finished and BMW did the whole "Base Audio" release and this shifted focus away from the X5 package. The 3 Series package just based off shear potential customers got priority and delayed the X5 package. Obviously a penalty that you as X5 customers received but we are small and cannot have a lot of projects going at once. We do our best and most of the time we fulfill them all in time!

We are working on it. I can assure you guys. We want to have a package as much as you guys do. I can assure you of that!

We actually have another X5 coming in for testing. We have drivers that fit, plug in and sound great. Doing final testing :)
