Looks great... and I know what you mean about the steering... once you get used to it, you won't want to go back to the stock 18" or 19" feel

As consumers, it's important that we are informed as much as possible....especially when making such a large purchase like wheels. The center of the Rennen wheel may be forged, but probably on the usual 5-6K forge. It is modular wheel in that the center is welded or held in place by some sort of mechanical faster. The barrel is of questionable material or strength - most likely spun aluminum.

Anyone spending money on aftermarket wheels, please do study the construction. I've been through plenty of pretty $$$ wheels but these days, I only would buy a 8K single piece forged wheel. Everything from the center to the rim edge is fully forged. There are only like 5 factories in the world than do 8K forging press. YMMV.

This is a one peice wheel CNC machined from a block of forged aluminum. This is identical to the forgings used in the making of RAC or Champion wheels, or Neez wheels, etc. I have done my homework, its not my first set of forged wheels. There is no cast barrel with a forged centre here. Please, don't spread misinformation.

<edit> I see that you have RAC wheels for sale, so you must know a bit about forged wheels. Rennen actually makes the wheels for several well known wheel sellers on M3 forum. I'm not at liberty to say, but you would be surprised.

I retract my statement if it is indeed a one piece wheel.
The market is so flooded with the coin word forged wheel, when there is so much junk out there....

^^ Did you buy your RACs from Chuck? I didn't realize that he had ordered a set with the X5 wheel bore. Great wheel, strong and light.

These look great. Very similar to the M3 CSL design. What is the price? And do they make a 10inch version for running 275/40/20 in the front tire? I started a thread last week about 20inch wheel options and wanted to save some weight. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for posting this up. You have a beautiful ride.

Cheers,

^^ Thanks, I should have said the wheels are staggered, 20x10 for the front and 20x11 for the rear.

is this rim super strong? meaning it won't get dented when going over large unavoidable pot holes...

Absolutely Beautiful wheels! I Really like your white X5 too!

I photochopped a pic with your whip a couple inches lower too. It's pretty Sick looking (that's a good thing )! I was curious what it might look like with those wheels and just thought that I'd share.

Wheels look awesome!

1) How well have you liked the Vredestein tires?

2) Would you buy the Rennen's again?

3) What are the sizes of the tires - front and back?

4) It looks like you did not add the wheel arches - seems to look fine without. If I went 20s I would want to go back to 19s every winter so leaving off the arches would be preferable to me.

I would love to see more pictures of your X!

Thanks!
