I totally support torrent stuff even though I spent 60K on my new X5. Spending 60K doesn't mean you splurge on everything.

Is this the CD/DVD that comes with the car you're looking for.

It's not the BMW owner's documentation that comes with the car being requested, that is freely available on the BMW site.

Don't agree that spending $60k at BMW entitles anyone to steal copyrighted material from a third party, in this case Bentley Publishers.

Try $14,000

Like you dont own $1000 in illegal music and movies...

Only difference is I would pay for art not for a over priced book....$80 for a book come on now.... Some leak it to the net

I don't actually, and I owned the Bentley for my M3 which I used to my navigation retrofit, my door lock actuator replacement, install my stoptech BBK etc. If I planned on doing any major to the E70 , I'd buy it. It really is worth it.

Not that I am not advocating using torrents for other stuff ;)

surprised the nav dvd torrent was talked about in that other thread....

Where can it be purchased for the 2011 model?

I don't think it is even available yet. The manual for the E60 was only released recently, even thought the E60 has been around since 2004.

^^ I just checked, it doesn't even seem like its published yet.

Thank you guys. What would be the best reference for someone looking to do some general work on a 2011 50i? (Besides this forum of course)

Don't expect someone to point you in any direction for a torrent.
Any download you find would be illegal and not supported on Xoutpost.
Try a public library or used book store.

What a cheapskate. Thankfully , no one assisted in his thievery.

Yeah, on a practical basis, technical manuals are very expensive to create, and such thievery makes it less likely the publisher will develop future manuals for low-volume models. I'd love to have a Bentley manual for my Z4, but they never made one, probably due to the low production volume.

The fact is, if the publisher doesn't make sufficient profits on the E70 manual, the likelihood of them publishing a manual for the next generation of the X5 diminishes greatly.

I have the same question. Maybe someone will chide us for having not spent enough time scouring with Google and other search tools. I just know that the time I have spent over the years has not been fruitful and I feel like it shouldn't be so obscure. I have a 2007 X5 (first year of the E70 platform) and still no obvious hits for comprehensive repair manuals on this four year old vehicle.

When my household dealt with a 2002 Audi A4 (first year of the B6 platform) Bentley had a manual for it within the year, which we gladly paid for. Over the years it saved us a lot of time and possibly money due to avoided mishaps. On occasion we’d find missing or otherwise incomplete content in the Bentley manual, but it was certainly better than the nothing they offer for the E70.

If you are looking for X5 wiring diagrams, EBSCO’s Auto Repair Reference Center currently has E70 info up to 2008: http://www.ebscohost.com/public/auto-repair-reference-center Of course if you have any of the newer toys such as Combox, Active Cruise, Side-view camera, Automatic high beams, etc, you are still out of luck here.
