The RCA wire I tapped on the 'output' side of the factory amp for the stock subs. Basically I grabbed the wires coming off the factory harness and spliced there.

The only thing I need help with is the wires that he tapped into at the sub for taking the signal to the new amp.

I ahve a Logic 7 system in my X5 with the center channel. Everything else I have a good handle on.

Another question, is it possible to pick up the INPUT signal to the amp, rather than picking up the subwoofer outlet signal? From an SQ, perspective, it would be ideal to pick up the raw signal before it has passed through an equalizer and suffered amplifier distortion.

This isn't possible from What I understand because the signal From The hu isn't optical, not analogue.
