iPhone 4 snap in adapter
 

Has anyone try this? I've been looking for one, but still can't find it at any BMW dealer. Today I found this item on the internet. Don't know if it's an after market item or not. It said original on the listing below.

Sure it's an original accessory.

This is the basic version. There's also the music and media versions available depending on if you have the smart phone integration and year of manufacturer.

I have the music version. Works great.

Do you happen to have a part number for the music and media version? Will it work on E70 manufacture on Jan 2008? If you have some picture of your music version, please post it here. I would greatly appreciate it. Just try to look for good options for my iPhone 4 with my X5

BMW has not yet released the iPhone 4 accessory mount yet. This is aftermarket.

I just want a damn dock that folds down like that! My X is older then yours and I know the interface is totally diffrent. I hqave an aftermarket headunit any way and can/would get/make what I needed to make it work. Just want on that folds down like that.

The partnumber (84-21-2-199-389) is at least in the same category as the rest of the BMW comms systems, but it is not in the online ETK

Yes, but that is still just the basic I believe. The ConnectedDrive "full-control" version of the iPhone 4 adapter won't be out until mid summer... or so I was told by BMW parts (Germany). I think the "Basic" version does not fully interact with BMW's ConnectedDrive/iDrive system.

However, if this is indeed the full version, then I hope someone who buys it will please post some feedback about it after installation. :thumbup:
