Valid sample size is generally >30. However, it's not about the size of the sample, it is about whether the sample population is representative of the target population (all e70 owners). I'm gonna say there is some subjective inference necessary. People on this board are more passionate about their BMWs and are into DIY things--I'm gonna assume they would make less than a normal e70 owner. However, this may not be enough to skew the data totally. I think that this could be very representative of the average e70 owner. We have people from all over the world, different ages, sexes, race, etc. It's a pretty good poll...

Learned a long time ago that income level means nothing... some ppl would forgo food to drive a nice car while others drive Toyotas to their private planes. Also, you cant forget that in some parts of the country 150k barely making it...

I personally am not going to participate bc I am not representative of a typical X5 owner at all. I'm a college student with a small income, no expenses besides my X5.. And most repairs are taken care of by mom and dad (thank god). I pay gas, and upfront cost... And no, I promise I'm not a spoiled brat.. I appreciate everything my parents give me, and am sure to do my best to repay them. (my parents get periodic hand washes from yours truly :) )
