So I'm kind of a tight spot. I only want the TTnengine so I'm looking at a 2011 model, but none of them are CPO? Seems silly I can buy a car a year older and get a warranty twice as long....guess I'll just have to wait for 50is to CPO, or I guess get an extended warranty? What is the cost of 100k factory warranty add on?

it can vary widely. mine was $3800, which i believe is on the high side.

Adaptive drive seems hard to find on used models, is it possibly built into another package or is it just not that popular?

Active steering, some like it, some don't, any opinions?

Re: sport package, I drive long distances and some have said to avoid sport suspension, any opinion? With that, how many cars have sport package but delete suspension?

Adaptive drive is included with MSport, at least on 2011 models.
I have Active Steering as well. It makes a big difference parking, especially with 19" or 20" wheels. I also like the quick easy steering in the twisties and have enough road feel as well.

I have no issues with MSport and 19s for long trips. Not uncomfortable at all.
I just did two 1000 mile round trips this past month.

Yeah and it stickered for $75K new. And I still only have 25K miles on it and it's 3 years old this month (was a late '08 model with an in-service date of Aug '08 so longer factory warranty and CPO warranty compared to most '08's).

found a private party X5 a few miles from my home. fully loaded but has the rear-dvd set up, which I've heard nothing but bad things about it. I hear it gets in the way all the time, and to be honest, think it looks pretty cheesy in an $80k car. is this removable?

also, a dealer told me they could CPO a car they have for sale for $2,200, can I buy private party and then CPO the car? I put 25-30k miles a year on the car, definitely worth $2,200 for the longer warranty.
