Yes, but your wagon can't tow a 6k lb boat and trailer ;)

BMW does not even provide a hitch for the USA for the E60 and E61. You can get a very limited third party hitch.

Towing aside it has almost the same room as my old X5, is faster, handles better and I smile every time I fill it up.

Yes, but I need the vehicle to do all of the above plus tow my boat. I don't think your wagon gets as good mileage as the 35D either.

I love wagons, haul stuff and haul a$$, but I need the X5 for this ;)

Very nice boat, I have one as well but use my neighbors truck to haul and launch once a year.

To get back to bike racks I plan to purchase the whispbars anyone have them?

Yakima › Learn › Whispbar

Yakima › Shop › Rack Systems › Factory Tracks or Rails › Whispbar Rail

Hey blue dragon, do you keep your bike rack on when not in use ? Do they rattle or make any type of noises ? Do you have any pics of the rack when not in use. Been researching a lot of roof mounted racks and yours seems like the easiest design for the the height in which we have to lift our bikes. I like the fact that once in front tire is in, it pretty much holds itself in. Thanks for your input...

They don't rattle or make any noise like that. Even the wind noise is minimal over the noise the crossbars add (at 130 km/hr).

I kept the racks on before, but we were down to 1 car while we waited for my wife's mini to come in, and she parks in the underground at work. I took them off because I didn't know what the height restriction was.

I'll see if I can put them back on this weekend and take a picture and post it.
