Getting all the credits/discounts is the easiest part. I think the hardest part will be finding your specific color with options. Unless your not the picky type.

1- How is the new Hi-Fi sound system compare to the premium Hi-Fi sound?
2- B/t these two options, premium Hi-Fi Sound and multi-countour seat options. Which option is a must have?
3- How much over invoice should I target? From $500 - $1500.
4- Have any new 2012 X5 owners from Southern Cal get their cars close to invoice? If so, can I get the contract person or dealer info?

Thank you much in advance.

1) From what I hear it's simply an enhanced sound system but I would still get the premium Hi-Fi if you can afford it
2) That is a tuff one. I have both and love them for different reasons. I guess if I had to choose I would lean towards the comfort seats but that is just me...
3) Check out truecar.com it's been helpful to me
4) I got a GREAT deal on my CPO X5 from BMW of South County and would recommend them highly. Otherwise I can't comment

Where did you get $1000 over. I know SoCal $500 over dealers ?

I wish I can get both premium Hi-Fi and multi-contour seat. Yes, I am on a budget.

I am leaning toward the multi-countour seat.

I just got off the phone and spoke to an Internet/Fleet Manager at a local dealer here in Southern Cal. He stated that, the X5 and X6 buyers can get up to $3730; 1K for Loyalty Program (if you finance thru BMWFS), 1K for the BMW Mission Sale Event, and 1730 for navigation credit.

My current spec for the 2012 35i Premium in sapphire blk and cinamon brown...wish I can get the carbon black, but not available in the premium model.
-Convenience Package
-Multi Contour Seat
-Spare space tire, and
-Running board

Sticker = 61325
Offered at = 56790 (included 2730, if finance and approve by BMWFS, an additional 1K off)

The price looks very good at 55790, but their trade in offered for my 2007 X5 at <44K miles still had maintenance warranty was very bad. I am trying figure out how to sell it before all of these benefits expired by early next year.

I find the difference between regular and multi-contour seats and the difference between regular and premium sound to be equally large.

It would really come down to what sort of driving you're going to be doing. If you are in your car for the typical commute where you're sitting in the car for a half hour, then I would probably go premium sound to be able to crank the sound in traffic. If you're going to be on the road for hours at a time, then I'd go multi-contour seats and listen to sports radio :)

$500 over invoice + maco is the deal I got. Then subtract the $2500 eco, $1000 end of year, $1730 option.

$65k OTD for the following

2012 X5 3.5d
White / Black interior
Nappa Leather with Leather dashboard / center console
Sport Activity Package
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
Running Boards
BMW Apps
Multi Contour Seats

Considering the Adaptive Drive, but dunno. Reading mixed reviews here. This is my first SUV, and coming from a Lexus ISF. Thoughts?

You'd get running boards before hifi?

The diesel would be cheaper I bet.

A running board is a must have for my kids and is only at 300.

It looks like the diesel model will be even cheaper if price at the same config and 2500 off more for eco.

Stevev,

Do you want to give my sales rep a call to see if they can give you a better price? The only drawback is that it's up here in NorCal.

From my info, Sport Activity package(ZAP) without Adaptive drive does not give much in terms of "drive feel". Didn't they stop adding sports suspension with ZAP?
Anyone know why the Adaptive drive is showing under sports package for 35d on BMWusa.com? Its not included in ZAP for free.
