Thanks all for the posts, i did get a ppi from my indy. Checked out clean and good.
I did end up trading mine for 18k and got the E70 for 26K. So it turned out less expensive. I did not purchase a non-BMW warranty - will be talking to my SA in the BMW service near my work for options for warranties. So far this ride is fantastic, fully loaded, etc.
