Here is the catch though, if you already have an AGM battery you only have to register (if you have a black battery). If you have a white battery that means you have the older battery which is a lower capacity and a full programming woulld be needed so the proper recharge is promoted by the vehicle as it was explained to me, this would mean more $$ due to more time on the deck. Check to see if you have an AGM already, and see if the parts dept will work with you on a price match. The mark up is high in most places to they should. Good luck! |

They had the car hooked up to the oscilloscope and were working on the alarm was the last update yesterday. They said they were giving my money back for the battery. |
Good to hear! Hopefully this gets worked out swiftly for you.

Do you leave the car unlocked when in garage? That was causing the battery to drain in my case. It seems the self leveling suspension and/or adaptive drive along with other electrical components remain active unless you lock the car, thus draining the battery.

I have a Oct 09 35d sport inovations first reg Mar 2010. Had a small waco compressor fridge running (auto cut of for low voltage) After a year started to get the high battery discarge, read the forums so used a fully auto ctec charger 2 twice a week for another six months. For some weeks the car may only travel 3 km in a day then will travel 300km. Discussed with dealer and realised they don't really know the problem with this and blame the fridge. Solution replaced the BMW battery with a century battery $200.00 took out the plastic compartment over the battery, lots of room there, inslalled a solinoid and second deep cycle battery inc cables etc and battery $300.00 also switch to enable both batteries if required (2nd batter becomes a booster battery for the start) Fridge now has 24/7 power feed. Never had re setting of computer or whatever they do with change of battery. Voltage test when engine running has always show 14.5 volts even after short or long running. Vehicle serviced by dealer and no comment made about extra battery. No problems since, have cold drinks during our hot summer when doing trips regularly (have covered 73,000 km) and haven't had to mess about with the dealer and never had to use the 2nd battery as a booster yet and no high discharge warning..............

Had a problem with HIGH DRAINAGE and it turned out to be a bridge on the rear fuse box done by a certain fool who claims to be a PROGRAMMING GURU with all these Chinese Cracks of the OPPS. He bridged it to get extra voltage when scanning the car and didnt undo it,killed 4 batteries in a week
worth a look |
Tks,
The X has been at the dealer for for 4 working days and they're still reprogramming and testing modules. I don't care how long it takes but I hope they cure the issue. |
