Whats the battery discharge fix? *UPDATE*

Im headed back to the dealer this weekend to work on this issue again. Has anyone found a definite fix? Im going to have them check the battery management cable and alternator. Mine reads "battery was disconnected" and Im getting tired of setting the time again and again. Also my oil change light keeps going back to service due. Whats funny is when I reset that I get the high discharge issue due to idle blah blah blah.

Warranty? yes or No?

What kind of car? Year? etc. etc.... USA?

Yes warranty
2008 4.8 with most of the bells and whistles

They did the battery last weekend and the same night the clock was resetting.

Only fix is to buy a new car. Sorry.

you need to drive it longer or maintain higher RPM's in between start and stops to sufficiently charge the battery. That's what the dealer will tell you and yes it is your fault. hahah

I don't know how much longer I need to drive it ...I drove it 200 miles since servicing and the issues started the same night after 60 miles from the dealer with a brand new battery. I also trickle charge it every night:dunno:

well the mileage thing is crap because I've gotten it twice in 4 years and I drive it the same way daily.

Are you positive there is no accessory connected to the vehicle? Any aftermarket stuff, something in the cig lighter?

The cig lighter is not powered with the vehicle off.
