Luxury BMW submerges in Newark Bay after N.J. driving mishap

An unidentified driver accidentally backed his friend's SUV off of a boat ramp and into the water. Police gave him a summons for being unlicensed. The car was successfully towed out.

looks like a bunch of work went into this thing........... only to get soaked in polluted waters...... the "friend" better have the funds for a replacement.

At least it is still under warranty.
 
There may have been a malfunction which caused the X5 to suddenly accerate, like Toyota, except in reverse this time. Too bad he is quoted in the newspaper saying he fell ill and slammed on the accelerator.
