So the fact that I have been thru this already and am telling Ya'll that I think I paid too much for what I received falls on deaf ears?

A Fool and his Money...............

And I dogged my dealer on brake changes before idrive said I was due. They gave them to me but they didn't have to. My rotor and pad tolerances were close.

Also, the warranty won't transfer. It stays with the vehicle and it can not be cancelled once initiated.

105,000 miles and original owner.

I wasn't going to post about the Maintenance Program Upgrade as I just posted about in another forum today.

I purchased the Maintenance Program and would not do it again. Those who advocate it usually say one should buy it because it will cover a brake job. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to need a brake job before it expires so I won't get that benefit.

So I don't recommend it.

E70 brake job at my local dealer, both axles, is $1091 plus tax. That includes pads, rotors, and sensors, all OE, plus labour, with a 24 month warranty and either a service loaner or valet service. They post their prices.

That is really good actually.. even shopping around here for parts and DIY labor costs about $700~ (aud)

I am a very do it yourself maintenence type owner and when I bought my cpo 09 x5d I opted for extended maintenance. It was about 2300 w/ 44k on it. The cost of parts and things needed so far at about 62k miles..it's nearly paid for itself. I haven't paid a dime for anything and being active duty Air Force it allows peace of mind for my wife when deployed. I recommend it.

I bought the Extended Maintenance as well. My Indy price here for full brake job is about $1,400. I just am now in the Extended Maintenance period and have it until 8/14. I will need front brakes in about 6 months and looks like I will at least have to do the rears by 8/14. Maybe the fronts again by 8/14-- just depends on how many miles I drive that last 12 months of it. The tech also pulled me aside and said last week during oil service: "FYI you have a small oil leak in your vacuum pump I noticed when doing a walk-through--bring it back in 3 months so we can get it covered under CPO. And I will see if I can jump through some hoops at BMW Warranty to get your rear rotors replaced if they show close to min spec by then, too". I bought my CPO from Beverly Hills BMW out in Los Angeles---they bundled the maintenance and tire warranty so got a good deal---the tire warranty has already paid for itself plus some--have had 3 new rear tires put on.

So you are saying just the PARTS cost for maintenance between 44k and 62k has been $2300????????????????

I'd be interested to read how that is possible
