SoCal the OEM HID is 4300K these Crees are very white they match the 6K HIDs which I also installed. Some Newer cars are using 6K bulbs now so I went to 6K D1S bulbs as well.

can you send me the info as well?

Those look good any link to where you got them?

jmckee815 02-13-2013 02:20 PM

I would like to know as well.

ALPINE_X5 02-13-2013 02:54 PM

I will send out a PM to the people I purchased them from. The LED's should use a resistor but I do not. I coded mine out. The resistors they currently have gets hot so I would source another resistor from someone else until they can resolve their issues.

Before I had mine coded I didn't mind the error but that is me. I tried their current resistor and I had some problems with it being hot. BMW from 07-current seems to push more voltage to the resistor than in the previous models and gets them hotter than I am comfortable with.

I will send my name to you in PM to let them know I sent you.

The Link was H8 Bulbs to show you what they look like. They come in H11's for the FOGs.

Better Pic of LEDs and AE's

Here is a better PIC since I just got my SUV back today.

Real list is obviously brighter but close enough to represent color and intensity.

Did you get an error code with these bulbs?

ALPINE_X5 02-14-2013 12:13 AM

I coded out the fogs. But they do get an error otherwise. The resistors that I have tried get too hot and I don't trust them yet. I will have to try better resistors and use the old connectors and see how that works. I can code and recode so that isn't a problem.

The error before I coded didn't bother me that much. The GPTHUNDER 7500K did not throw codes.

jmckee815 02-14-2013 12:17 AM

What is involved to have the error coded out?

ALPINE_X5 02-14-2013 12:47 AM

Having someone code out your car. I have a guy for you if you want his info. He can remote code. If he wasn't handy I wouldn't even bother since its just a minor warning and then goes away.

Resistors will work too. Have to find some that don't get too hot. Will have more time next week to check the resistance requirements.
