THAT will be the $500 question... Dealer will almost surely claim it was perfect from the factory and OP 'must have' hit something....

Let's see what happens

I got into the shop today, and we determined that the wish bone was bent by 3/4". It definitely is a culprit and I have a new one coming. I bought the X5 used with low miles, so it's likely the previous owner ran into something hard. I'm just relieved to know this issue is likely resolved.
