FRONT A/C BLOWER STOPPED BLOWING

Hi guys,
My 08 X5 front blower is stopped blowing completely today, i have been looking to checked the fuse, but could not located. Already made appointment for next week. Its too hot for me now. Any suggestions is appreciated.

The fuse for the front blower is located under the glove compartment, front passenger side. You need to remove 3 screws from the trim that sits in the footwell, right underneath the glove compartment, and then unscrew a large green screw that sits vertically - this will release the fuse box, which you will then need to pull down manually.

There is a map of all the fuses, behind a panel with a black handle, on the right hand side of your trunk (there are other fuses there too).

At any rate, most likely it's not the fuse, but an FSR - final stage resistor - it's a common problem in the X5 of that age - I went through this on my 09, while still under warranty.

In a more rare case, it could be the blower motor itself.

Thanks for the info. Ok, i'm going to let them deal with it, still under warranty.

Did not work for a few days, and today all the certain its back to work by itself. I was wondering if any of you have this experienced before to give me your advice. I already have my appointment and don't know if the dealer will be able to diagnose the issue. My warranty is going to expire soon, and i certainly don't want to pay for this out of my packet.

This actually happened to me a few weeks ago. I had a Low Coolant light turn on while driving to work, then later that day, no AC. When I got home, I filled her up with coolant, then the next day, the AC was back to working.

Sounds very much like the FSR is acting up - keep your appointment, and have them inspect it.

The SA said that i have to wait until its acting up again, otherwise if they find nothing is wrong then i have to pay for the labor.

My blower died last week on X5 2005 model.
put a new FST and still didnot work. It might be the blower motor itself ?
Checked the fuses and they are all fine.

6/100k. I thought so too. I'll bring it in anyway.
