I want to say that is the Nav update version, but who knows..

The left picture shows the original nav software 2012 with no. 112111.2.18 and picture on the right shows the updated version 2013-1A with no. 112121.2.18.

i am going to guess at this point without further information it appears that the number with the decimal is the firmware version and the other alpha-numeric description is the map version.

my car is at the dealer now so i want to make sure that i am getting everything is paid for but i dont really know how to verify and the dealer keep reassuring me that it will all be done however having a lot of experience with dealers rarely ever do get what i pay for and sometimes they include things for free (like scratches and headaches).

When you get ready to pick up the car, make sure to check to see if you have version 2013-1A with no. 112121.2.18 which should be the latest.

I know where you are coming from regarding scratches... :iagree:to help avoid this as much as possible, I specifically tell my SA I don't want them to wash my car after any services. I have had a few instances where I received the car back with some minor scratches.

did the navigation/idrive units change in 2011 or once the seven button idrive came out they're all the same? (the reason i ask is because my experience with audi they went from mmi-2g, mmi-3g then mmi-3g plus all within two years or so... curious if BMW did the same with their idrive or if it has been the same since the change to seven buttons.)

i always ask them not to wash the car or do any favors for me... just service/repair and call me. somewhere in-between me telling them that and picking it up it winds up being ignored despite having it on the RO.
