iDrive Controller Replacement

Need to replace the iDrive controller in the X. Wife spilled some juice or soda on it, now when the temps get cooler the "Menu" button no longer depresses. Does anyone know if it is a direct replacement or will I need to take it in to have the new controller coded somehow?

You can you electrical contact cleaner. I have had a few mishaps and that will work to un-stick your buttons. It won't harm the electrical components.

I feel your pain. Happened to me a few months back. If you buy a new controller than you have to get it coded from dealer. I purchased a used I-drive controller from Weber Bros. 1-800-222-2528 x-100 ask for Craig. I paid $75 for the controller and plugged it in.... Worked like a charm with no coding needed.
