I currently own an 04 530i and I am also in search of an E70 currently. My mechanic who works at a BMW dealership service center told me the 3.0si E70s have not had any major issues historically since its launch. I test drove an 07 yesterday at a Toyota used car dealership and all I could say was wow! Now I really want one so bad. However, looking under the hood of this one there was a good amount of oil leak resting on the under tray and the suspension bounced around when it hit a bump. Plus I didn't care for a few of the scratches that were on it. Once the rep saw I had made that discovery he knew I wasn't the customer he was looking for:D

It had the old interface that I also have in my 04. I have seen a few 08s with the newer one.
