If that is the case, the BMW EVP/CPO warranty booklet you should have received with the car is clear: mirror, glass and lenses - not covered. Anything electrical - not covered. Your side mirror is all of these things. |

Amen brother! I like the idea of making a multi-million dollar company honor their marketing rhetoric of quality, precision, and blah blah...... I never liked the argument that we should subscribe to a "pay to play with BMW" attitude. I want reliable quality with my Ultimate Driving Machine. If we consistently pressure the company to deliver on this promise instead of researching the next generation of heated nipple warmers for Richie Rich owners....they may just deliver on that promise. :iagree: Also, I think you should try another dealer. Then agree to take more of your future repairs there if they treat you fairly. Do you get a BMW CCA discount on parts? That may help. Best of luck dude |

not directly related but... have a tire/wheel warranty sold by a dealer at the time of lease through a third insurance company. original sale in NJ. took the car to a PA dealer, for tires - they honored the warranty, fixed minor issue.
later, one of the tires blew on highway, took to one dealer in VA - they suggested me pay $350 per tire for two front tires and deal with warranty myself... took to another dealer in the area, (just a wheel, so I did not drag the car around town!), they replaced the tire and I paid only tax, $18. Point is - try another dealer... |

If there is any support material I could use that you say electrics are, can you post it here? |

You should've received a CPO booklet when you purchased your car - but here's a summary. |
Bought my '09 in Sept '13. Covered electrical or nor?

It's impossible for us to give you a definitive answer without the benefit of your contractually binding documents ... |
^ Good advice.
points for correcting the record. The key thing is that the CPO document is descriptive not proscriptive. There are parts that dont fit the name in the CPO document- so ther is interpretation. BWMNA has proceduralized much of this, so when a part is entered they declare 'not covered'- but arguments can be made...and good warranty managers can be creative. |
