Seems to be a few new codes and parameters to change. I'm still having issues disabling my seatbelt chimes and turning off the Disclaimer Warning. It never seems to work, am I doing something wrong?

Does "car ulock when engine is switched off" work?
If "lock the car when in motion" is on, would this codding unlock the car when engine is switched off?
Can someone with Comfort Entry verify if this works if engine is switched off? At present I have to pull the door handle twice... Thank you. CAS: Unlock car when turned off active not active BMWhat: Doors are automatically unlocked, when ignition key is ejected. Only works if "Lock vehicle at x kph Key 1-4" is activated. |
My doors lock on pull-off (min speed allowable in BMWWhat) and driver's door unlocks when vehicle is turned off. Obviously the choice is yours if you wish to have all doors unlock once engine has been turned off. I have comfort access so key remains in my pocket.

Yes, when I press the start/stop button to turn off the car, the door unlocks. I didn't originally code this feature using BMWhat. Rather, I activated it in the idrive. I always assumed it was a standard feature. The only thing specific to BMWhat was coding the speed at which the doors lock. It offers a slower speed at which to lock the doors.

That's the way it should work, and works on all but US models :-(, here it needs to be coded.
Thank you |
I'll post this here first then a new Thread if it's not appropriate:
In the coding, there is a code for: IHKA: Automatic compressor engine speed. The explanation is: Increase engine speed when A/C compressor is ON. I have lived with higher than normal idle speed (900rpm) when the compressor is on, and had asked the dealer if there was someway to reduce it...they said (as usual) NO. The higher engine idle speed makes the X5 a bit unruly at slow speeds and braking. So I see an option now in the BMWHAT APP to decrease it. MY QUESTION: BMW must have had a reason for running the idle speed up with A/C on...I thought maybe emissions? A/C cooling? but, what negative effect would be to reduce the idle speed to normal (about 600rpm) as when there is NO compressor running ? |

As for the cornering light feature, it's there. Not sure what more to tell you then what's I the post that you quoted above. Can't be sure the 2008 is the same as my 2011, though. |
So after randomly having all of my warning lights come on, my dealer says it had so do with my USB dongle. I disagreed but let them reset the truck anyway. Since then, my angel eyes are no longer active when the light switch is in Auto (where I always have had it, and so my custom coded string of lights work when locking/unlocking).
I've edited and altered and even disabled the newer DRL options in the app to see if that effects it, but that's only active in the "0" position. Scratching my head on this one. Any thoughts? Any way I can return everything to default and try again? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
