Sorry it's the rear brake light assembly (right side). It's the upper brake light bulb socket. Different than my earlier post. I just ordered it off of Morristown BMW for $210 shipped.

Same thing happened to me and I just replaced the socket. My socket melted and fused with the tail light assembly so I just broke it off and glued back whatever broke off of the tail light assembly and replaced it with a new socket. It might seem like a very cheap thing to do but the fix lasted until I traded in the car. |
