ceramic brakes, damn sounds good, but wont that be expensive to replace once worn? The brakes on my X5 already costing me a fortune esp when i go into the dealer!

i dont know. I'd have to see it in person first. There something about the front/side that I dont like. When I look at the e53 4.6/4.8...it looks good from all angle. I love the new led rear lights though. looks great on the 6 and revanp 5.

I still feel they NEED to make that SAV that was posted the the "itch" thread.

That front and grill was planned initially but change of plans as now BMW wants F01 7-series to be the first to have that new CS style kidney grill and styling cues. Other BMWs will eventually follow the style.

Finally! Something from Designworks/USA that I LOVE
Audi's F*cked up here, that car makes SO much sense, height!

This may cause $80,000 sports cars to catch on up here. I'd rather se a 3.5TTD than a hybrid. blech. The exhaust note is one of the reasons I buy BMW, and I'll be d*mned if I spend $60G++ on a car that whirrs and is a FAD that has a very limited lifespan (both the fad and the car thanks to the enviro-killer batteries)

I think prices of 5 vs. 6 series will take effect, starting in the high fifties or low sixties maybe for a 6 CYL.

LM/S,
TitzPics and your usual First Class job of getting
the hot skinny and putting up a fine thread of info!

Fwiw, I like it, but the predicted price and techno-craze
gadetry is a lil' off-putting...I may be keeping our
old '01 X5 for awhile longer.

Great Job, S!

This is a very high end SAV. I would imagine a mid $70k's base with a fully loaded one hitting high $80k's. This would make sense since an MX6!ouch: Would be on track with M5-M6 pricing of roughly mid $90k. BMW is certianly moving up market. As usual we will need to wait and see who the competition is. Very exciting products coming from BMW in the next few years, but then again there is always very exciting stuff from BMW every year.

I would imagine pricing will fall inline with 6 series pricing compared to 5 series pricing.

cosmos 09-15-2007 03:33 PM

I have a feeling pricing will be between 5 and 6 series only becaue V8 usually comand premium over 6 and X6 will have optional 6cly engine. If there were only V8's and Hybrids for X6 then yes, I would imagine pricing being at or even above 6 series pricing.

Wow so yah, at first the styling looked a bit weird from the official pics, then Frankfurt pics came out and that looked a lot better...then the autospies video i just saw on youtube. about the ActiveHybrid and i'm finally like woah, this is pretty bitchen!!! did everyone see how the ActiveHybrid's rear apron moves up and down and the ActiveHybrid light turns on and off. WOAHHHHH how;s that for cool? LM, is the ActiveHybrid still in concept or is there a North America release date for it???
