We normally don't get that much snow in the NY/NJ area. That being said, we got hammered with quite a few 18"-24" snow falls 2009 and 2010. My X6 did remarkable well with the all seasons on 19" wheels. I was surprised how easily I was able to get out of my driveway after we got dumped on. It took a while for the plows to get to us. Although I got through, I was cringing hearing the snow scrape against the undercarriage. Like you said, it's not a RR.

I already put snows on the ///M. We got about 5 inches a week or so ago. I can't wait to put those monster 20s back on.

Cmyx5go & OP, i'm looking into an X6M, what are the snow tires and 19" setups you have and it performs fine?

Hey Rasta :wavey:

I have a square 19" set up - 255 all around. I think the wheels are 298M. Only one or two choices that fit over the rotors. Most 19s don't fit. I got the Pirelli RF but I don't see them on tire rack. Will get the name off them later.

Good luck.

I live in Australia so I know nothing about the requirements of a car to be effective in snow.....but I am reminded of this clip.....

Can't deny that Land Rover build some extremely capable vehicles......

I am using 298M wheels with Vred WinterXtreme. 298M is the recommended wheel. Most 19" won't fit over rotors.

My X6M is locked in and should be here in 7 days... thanks - i'll take a look at the 298M and might even keep the 4.8 for the winter, treat the X6M like an M3 and put it away for the winter LOL :-D

Why would your e70 winter wheels not fit on the X6?

Even if you buy an X6M, you need just adapter rings in the rear from 74.1 to 72.56mm and call it a day. Example: CLICK
