there aren't enough swear words in all the languages of the world to describe the idea of using a downtown hotel for Oktoberfest, especially weekday. I am certainly not patient enough to deal with the hassles involved with trying to park downtown. Tried to p/u my registration Mon nite, valet was full, the streets were full (some under construction), and I was angry enough to refuse to pay a parking garage and walk blocks just to p/u my paperwork. Will try again on my way to the stockyards, but may just blow this town and head home to SC. It's been a long trip and I'm tired of traveling. Will have to limit stops on my crosscountry trips to 2 or 3. Definitely not in the best of moods.
