Feeler Question for East-coasters
 

So... On relatively short notice (September or October?), who would be willing to drive here (10 minutes south of Charlotte, NC), and have an East Coast X5 World meet?

I would host it here (which, btw, is only three blocks from my house):

I can rent the beach and swim club (pic above) for an evening. I would provide food, drinks (both alcoholic and non), and -- if needed -- I can even house a few of you should you decided to stay the night. One of my neighbors is a DJ, so I could even provide that.

The Tega Cay Swim and Beach Club has an adult pool and two kiddie pools, and as you can see by the picture, it is right there on the lake. I can bring my boat around for those of you who'd like to go out on the lake and do some boating.

If I get enough interest, I can get the ball rolling. I would love to have all of you here, though I know it's probably not possible for a lot of folks. Bring the wifes/girlfriends, kids, dogs, I don't care. We are a kid- and dog-friendly household. :)

I really do mean this, by the way. This is not a joke. I have mentioned this in the past, and I really do want to do this. (Kidney stones and cancer sort of put my plans on hold for a few weeks lol.)

So, preliminarily speaking, who would be willing to attend?

Not an East Coaster, but I'm down with this. Throw out some dates and I'll do anything I can to make it.

October may work better for me. I'll be doing some travel for work in September, and plan to spend at least a week touring through the U.P (Upper Penninsula of Michigan).

p.s. - I'll take dibs on some floor space to sleep :D

Let me check out the schedule. October would be good... the weather here in the Carolinas is just perfect at that time, too!

How about the second weekend in October? The 8th and/or 9th of October? I'd have to call the club to ensure that it's open on that date... but I can only do that if/when I get a few RSVPs. :D

Depending on dates, if I can get cheap airfare out there, I would come. I'll need guest room #2 next to Jeff ;)
