guys.. let's keep it simple/realistic.. a track day is gonna be real expensive unless we join with groups such as NCRC or something like that. If we can't get instructors also it could become a huge mess or even dangerous for the unexperienced folks. We can talk about a track day at the next meet but I'm sure Kevin, Greg, Adam and I who have organized meets before agree that even a "simple" meet takes quite a bit of work and time.

I would be happy to meet in PS, but have no interest whatsoever in golf. I am, however, very happy to get together and talk/play cars. So count me in for whatever.

If we are doing a California meet, why not meet in the middle? Sure I'm biased because I live up north, but so are others in this thread. Someone mentioned meeting in San Luis Obispo. I used to live there and I know it's right in the middle of the LA area, and the SF/Sac/Bay Area. If we pick a good weekend, I work for a large hotel corporation and might be able to swing us some deals at a hotel. There are plenty of golf courses, although maybe not as nice as PS. And you can't beat the views on the coast. Also, within 15 minutes of SLO is Morro Bay, Pismo Beach (do you like driving on the sand?), Avila Beach, Shell Beach, and more. As far as sponsoring, there is Coast BMW, which is in SLO. They just remodeled their place. The dealer isn't too big, and I don't know too much about them.
