Try changing the settings for BT power saving on the phone, if you have them.

I guess just try leaving BT on before starting vehicle. I have both an older gen BT ULF in the older E46 and newer in the E83 and they both function just fine. If for some reason I've updated OS on HTC or updated MS Mobile telephone then the older ULF has the most issues (time of pairing) with the phone; onced paired and phonebook/SMS initially transferred all is well.

I don't have these settings in my Toshiba TG01  (well maybe some registry settings would do the trick, but I :dunno: )

Do you have a link to the PDF of the manual?

Try resetting your BMW BT module. You do this by waiting until the vehicle "shuts down". Unplug the BT module for about 10 monutes. Its sitting in the drivers side near the NAV unit on the bottom (floor) of the compartment.

If you can validate its function with another MSMobile phone too.

If the phone works fine in one vehicle and not in the other it may be the BMW BT module or antenna (as previously stated).
