Northwest BMW - Owings Mills MD

Excellent service - got a great deal on an 03 X5 3.0 with nav, premium, cold weather. Wanted Sirius install, the salesperson agreed to throw it in to close the deal but then found out that you couldn't do it in the 03 with nav(?) so the Service Manager went out, bought a Sirius unit, fabricated a bracket and hard wired it so it looks cool. No charge. Followed up with a call two days later to see how I like the truck.

Wow, thats great service. Hopefully, they continue with the same treatment when you bring the X in for service. Give us an update when you do.

I negotiated pretty hard - replacing the entire radio is probably not something the Managers willing to sign off on after giving me a LOW price. I'm cool with it (they put in the best Sirius receiver so I can take it and use it in the office).

I am considering replacing the stock speakers with a set from Baverian Soundwerks. Any thoughts?

Update on Northwest BMW Owings Mills MD

Additional info...

On Saturday, I was about to join the WTF Club when I was detailing my baby and bumped the Hazard button. I couldn't get them to shut off. So I drove over to the local BMW dealership (5 min away) and discovered that the service dept wasn't open on Sat and no salesperson could even help me find the right fuse to pull to avoid draining the battery all weekend ("Uh, I think we have to remove the dash to get at it..."). Then the local sales guy suggested disconnecting the battery and bringing it in on Monday.

Now the good news - I called my dealership - Northwest BMW of Owings Mills. Their service dept is open on Saturday til 3, they stayed open an extra 45 minutes (giving me a chance to get it fixed right away) - replaced the switch (under warranty) and sent me off 30 minutes later with a smile!

NW BMW rocks IMHO.

It was BMW of BelAir. No Sat service and the salesperson was not helpful beyond the sketchy "disconnect the battery" advice and "bring it in on Monday."

Maybe he was new, but still....
