BMW of North Haven, CT

Bottom Line they suck. The sales dept is allright. But unles it is the last day of the month or dec31st they will not take a penny off the sticker. The service dept is a nightmare. They keep changing employees and no one knows anything at all about BMWs. I mean nothing. My M3 was making a loud clunking noise from the differential. All m3s make some but this was alot worse than normal. They looked at it and said everthing was fine. On the way to work the next morning the differential mounting bolts snapped off and the diff almost fell out of the car hanging on by the drive shaft. This is only one story for you i have many more some even worse.

wow - i totally agree with you. kept bringing my X5 in for a "check coolant level" warning. They kept resetting the warning, telling me there was no proble. It wasn't until I decided to go to new country in hartford that the problem was properly diagnosed and fixed.

and i HATE that even though they have a bmw and mercedes dealership, they give you an oldsmobile for a loaner.

Yeah, they suck. I actually bought my X5 from them, and got an OK deal. After I bought the X5 from them, they have treated me like crap from then on. I live in Newington, so I go to New Country more than anything, they aren't the best dealership either, but a heck of a lot better than North Haven.

btw - is it common for high end car dealers to give crappy loaners? my parents got their bimmer from herb chambers in boston. they always get bmw loaners. in fact i looked at and purchased my first X5 b/c my dad raved about it after he got it as a loaner. not to mention the safety issue...try getting used to the braking, steering, ect. in an olds or pontiac if you are used to driving a bmw.

i purchased from greenwich (eh - not sure about them yet), get serviced (mostly due to location) at new country.

I have been going to Greenwich BMW regularly for service, but decided to stop going there... After they merged with pace BMW in New Rochelle, NY in the last 6 months or so sharing the same service facility in their portchester location, there has been a noticeable decline in quality of service...

Try Westchester BMW in Tarrytown, NY. They are company store and do give discounts and can give you the new BMW before any other dealer in the area can as they have special allocations. Their service is A+, and they got pretty girls at their desks with smiling faces.
Ridgefield BMW, New Country and North haven all suck. Darien BMW is other good BMW dealer in the area.

Huh, I love BMW of Seattle. I always get a BMW loaner, so long as I wait for one (about a week or two). Their service center is so good that it is always packed. If there is an emergency fix, and they don't have a BMW loaner, they will buy me rental from Enterprise. It is part of your service contract.

If you are having so many problems with them, call BMW N/A. I know that every time I have a service, BMW N/A calls me afterwards to see how BMW Seattle did.

BMW Seattle needs those numbers to be high. I don't know why, but I know that they do. Must be that they get a discount for their cars or something. Maybe a bonus. Anyways call and complain. If corporate hears enough complaints they may just stop selling BMWs to BMW of North Haven.

AGREE - They're the worst dealer! The service dept is the worst I have ever seen. I have purchased 2 BMW's from them in the past -- never again!
