Thumbs down Valencia BMW, CA

When I purchased a X5 last August, the sales person told me when the car is in the garage they will give a loaner car. However it turned out they are willing or capable to follow through their promises.

Since it is being not a volume dealer, not many to chose from, it has been known they don't get good deals like some of the SoCal Dealers. Only incentive, the reason I bought the car, was a loaner car.

Service rep. Mark Samson told me if it is a service that takes few hours they don't provide a loaner. Last time, I had a right rear shade replaced other service rep told me it will take only an hour you could wait for that being fixed. One hour later service guy told me it will take another 4 hours. I had to wait for the shuttle for another 40 minutes.
This time, 15k maintenance, I told them I want a loaner car. They say no. I mentioned a sales guy, one of the receptionist ganged up with Mark and told me to find him bring him over.

I stand by my story to the teeth. Valencia BMW did me wrong.

Start making loud noise... someone will attend to you...

Either that or give them some 1's on their ratings... that will wake them up..

yeah, I'm not a big fan of Valencia BMW either. I went there only because a guy I knew worked in the internet sales department. Needless to say, I don't think I got the best deal I could have. Pacific BMW offered me a much lower initial price than Valencia. They were still somewhat reluctant to drop the price after I told them what Pacific offered. I left feeling that I didn't get that great of a deal, which is not a feeling you should have when leaving the dealership with a car. But they knew I wanted it before my yearly trip to Palm Desert. And I was never offered a loaner car, although I would never take the car that far to get serviced.

After haggling with the loaner car initially, I made the 15k maintemance appointment a week ago and showed up this morning at 8AM.

The girl sitting at the service area told me because of black out some of their machine is damaged so we cannot do your maintenance now. Either you should leave your car for three or four more days here or reschedule your appointment, also added absolutely no loaner car. (I checked with other locals, there was no reported black out in that area.)

THAT F*&^ING B$%^T TELL ME THAT SINCE YOU HAVE ONLY ONE ORANGE BAR YOU DON'T NEED OIL CHANGE FOR ANOTHER 20K MILES. SHE STANDS BY HER WORD SHE WILL BRING A SERVICE GUY TO PROVE HER RIGHT.
I said since there's only one orange bar out of 5, it must mean I don't need any oil change for another 70k, the other larger older tired looking lady, guess what she is a service specialist, concurred.
I said what about giving me a call in the morning and at least saving me a trip here since the black out was two days ago. She said she meant to call everyone and that should mean something. Noone told me that they were sorry that I showed up in vain.

DON'T BUY FROM VALENCIA BMW!!!

What surprised me most is how dealerships like these stay in business Why even waste your time to argue with them...just take your business elsewhere...even if it means an extra 10 mile drive to the next dealer. There's plenty of BMW dealers in So Cal.

I just joined this board, as I just purchased a new X5. I was surprized to hear the comments on Valencia BMW, so I thought I throw in my 2 cents.

I bought my first BMW at Pacific BMW. Their service department was terrible, so I took my e60 to Valencia for service. They gave me a BMW loaner without any problem. Because of this, I bought my x5 from them. I received a better deal than Pacific BMW was going to give me and their service department has treated me well. On my last visit, they didn't have a BMW loaner and were willing to rent me a high end car instead. The rental car place had just sent out a Mercedes. It was their last one and all they had left was a camry with 40,000 miles and well beat. I told the dealer that the rental car was a POS and they had a BMW loaner for me the next morning. The only reason they didn't have one to begin with is because their customer didn't bring it back on time. Otherwise it would have been there for my appointment.

I am sorry to hear other people haven't had the same luck that I have had. I always call Mark David and make an appointment based on when he can have a loaner. It has never been a longer wait than the next week. I have only been there four times between the two cars, so maybe I have just been lucky. But, on one of the services, they upgraded my software on my e60 and turned on the bluetooth for no charge. I thought that was pretty decent of them, as I had heard other people being charged for this.

Anyway, that is just my 2 cents. By the way, this seems like a great board.

Welcome to the board! Regarding Valencia's service, I don't have an opinion because I've never brought my car there, nor would I drive 30+ miles to go there. The only reason I went there was to give my acquaintance business, who I thought we were more friends than acquaintances. Needless to say, when it comes to money, friendships are thrown out the window for some people. In any case, I'll know better next time.

Welcome again and enjoy the board.

Wow! what is that you do treated that way?
Friend of mine who bought 745i there had a same experience like mine with them. I suck up to the part guy there, he matched part prices with Pacific BMW. I guess it matters who you deal with.

After reading this I thought I’d put in my 2 cents. I made an appointment at Valencia BMW to bring in my x5 for an oil and brake service. At that time I was asked if I needed a loaner, I answered yes. I showed up to the service department on time and went to check in. I was again asked if I needed a loaner, again I said yes. Forty-five minutes later I finally get to meet with the Service Advisor, Jason, again I’m asked if I need a rental. Again I said YES! It was at this time that he called Enterprise for the rental. After finishing with the Jason I had to wait an additional 20 to 30 minutes for the Enterprise guy to show up. He brought a dirty Ford Focus, no not a BMW, Mercedes but a bottom line Ford Focus!

I don’t understand their take-in process. If I told you three times that I needed a loaner, why wasn’t there one waiting for me. It took over 1.25 hours just to drop off a car for service, a service that I had an appointment for. I have an Infiniti, it never takes more then 15 minutes to drop off a car. They always have the loaner waiting, an Infiniti loaner. My wife and I have already talked about our next car not being a BMW because of the poor service we received.

Steve
