Silver,

You are right all pro soaps are right we must blindly follow the sugestions of all members an not to go beyond the bounds of the thread how dare I suggest something else.

I think the real problem is that I have expressed a different view point you just want me to shut up and leave! Are you really that shallow?

And this comment. "Is this group just a blind group of followers that agrees on everything expect politics?" What does this have to do with soap. Stay on the topic and you wont get as you say attacked. No body wants to hear that garbage. Try it you'll like it.

The next post you make in this thread should be about your comments about soap. Let's see if you can do that.

Dawn or Dove liquid soap in a bucket with a teaspoon of olive oil...don't ask why just trust me. You don't want to use a harsh detergent soap.

nooooo...no no.....buckets = dirt collector that you wipe on to your car again....after a while, its like washing your car with sand paper = scratches and swirl marks. anything hose on and dry off, or wipe on 1 time and dry off is good. go to this site, very helpful and has alot of detailing products open to the public, www.ocdgarage.com hope they have some help for you....or all of us in that case

Anything that you move along the surface of the vehicle has the potential to scratch the paint...its impossible to wipe a 1 square foot area at a time and then wash your applicator. One dirt has absorbed into the applicator (sponge, mit, cloth, what ever) it has the potential to sratch a painted surface. If detailers followed those steps it would take a week to detail a single car. I detailed cars for 5 years and had no problems using my methods and never scratched any pain in the process. There is no perfect way to wash or detail an automobile...there are some bad ways however.

If you want to make sure that you will never scratch your paint my suggestion is don't wash your car, don't uncover your car and better yet don't drive your car.
