It is allowed in the states...it is only a safety issue if the sidewall is damaged any tire can be safely patched if it is inside of the contact patch of the tire...as for that warrenty...unless you are very unlucky flats are fairly uncommon as are blowouts...so it is kind of a sucker bet especially if it costs more then one of your tires.

My experience on run flats, has been that the tyre drops and runs on its internal rims. Once this happens, the tyre walls are broken and the whole tyre is un -repairable. Had two tyres covered under insurance.

They are much better tires than the ones on my E53. Why am I the only person who has them?
