Rick-2003 is on a distinguished road
That doesn't look bad at all. Thanks for posting the pic.

I was told by many tire shops that my antilock breaks may not work correctly if the circumference of the tire changed too drastically. In fact, they say they will not even sell me a tire that exceeds 3% of the original tire size without making it painfully clear that they are not responsible if anything should happen with the braking system or any other on-board computer that relies on speed as input data to other computer processes. The 265x70x17's are actually 8.17% larger than the stock 235x65x17's. I suspect there is a liability issue here and they are trying to protect themselves.

This said, have you noticed any issue there? Have you tried slamming on your brakes in wet or snow or loose pavement situations? Do the antilocks work without issue? Did you notice any other strange things happening with the way the vehicle reacted?

I have a 2003 year model and I'm also wondering if there may have been some body changes regarding fender well clearance that would allow the 265x70x17's to fit without issue on your 2006. Any idea?

Also the speedodometer and handling would be my last questions. I know the speedodometer will reflect lower speeds with the larger tire, but mine always read faster (about 4MPH) than I was traveling anyway so I'm thinking the larger tire will actually correct my speedo readings. The tire calculators say the speedo will be off by 8.887%. Is that what you noticed?

Did you notice any adverse handling conditions?

Are your rims 7.5" wide (as mine are) or are they larger width's?

Thanks for all your input here. Sorry for all the questions, but you are the only one who appears to have done this so your experiance is very valuable here.
