Getting Vibrations; Dynamic vs Static Balance
~'03 4.4i w/ 22" 8.5 up front, 9.5 in the rear ~Original balance was dynamic; vibrated from 30 mph on up ~Changed to static balance (supposedly way more weight): medium vibrations around 50-60 mph only; smoother every where else ~I don't think a wheel is bent or worped, but I could be wrong ~Im not sure if the rear has the static balance or if they left it with dynamic ~Any advice? |

Hunter road force balance
Find a tire store/independent/dealer that has a Hunter road force balance machine and have all four tire/wheel assemblies balanced. Total cost should be around $75 - if you still have a vibration/shimmy/wobble issue the cause is not the tires.
Good luck, Doc |

If the issue isn't wheel related, take a look at the brake rotors.

I just had inspection II done last week and they changed out the rear brakes/rotors and stated that the front were fine.
There are stacks of weights in the front 2 wheels; can this be correct? |

wheel sounds a little suspect due to the excess weight. If the shop did a "runout" test to check that the wheels run true, the weights should be minimal.
