OK, WAC was extremely generous and took my wheels back for a FULL refund including all shipping costs. It's unfortunate things did not work out as I do really love this style. I am going to go a different route, but I would not advise anyone against buying from them... just make sure you do your due dilligence in doing a FULL check before mounting them up. Don't make the same mistakes I did, as it is their policy to not take back mounted rims.

I am glad to hear that everything finally turned out well. So how would someone know that there is something wrong with the wheels unless they are installed in the vehicle? Are all possible problems/issue clearly visible to the naked eye?

If you are still interesteed in style 177 wheels. Here another merchant selling them. A little more, but they look good quality. I love the style of these wheels but there is just too many nooks a crannies for the break dust to hide into. I am looking for some style 87, much easier to clean.

I saw these on ebay, seller is in Phoenix but they ship from CA and they are also painted. I wouldn't doubt the same manufacturer makes them in Italy. They are probably fine but I am afraid to take a chance again, so I am going to be a little more conservative this time around.

I am currently first on the wait list for the AFS Style 87 20" staggered silver powder coat. They have been out of stock since I called over 2 weeks ago.

A lot of x5world members have had good experience with the AFS wheels. I have only one person that had a problem, and I think it's because they forgot to use the provided centering rings or something lol.

That is odd that they have been out of stock for over two weeks on the style 87. They currently have the 87 staggered on sale on ebay with tires for $1499.99
