I also stripped the frigging hex retaining screw. I was able to coerce it back in and get it torqued to spec. Don't listen to what the DIY says about leaving this in if the rotor is stuck... BAD IDEA.

As for the dust shield hole for the ebrake it started bothering me so I fabricated a little shim piece out of a 1/4" lag bolt (sort of like looks like a washer with a rectangular opening instead of circle) to reinforce the spring bolt. Snug as a bug now. Also touched up the dust shield with a sharpy. Looks good. Brake job is done.
