We, I've been watching the responses, and doing some digging on my own and I seem to like the Michelin Latitude's. I'm leaning more towards an all weather tire V.S. having to swap them out when the weather gets snowy.
My son had some Nokien's a few years ago and he loved them.
With so much to choose from, I may stick with a Michelin. I've always had good luck with them and very long tread life.

I also wanted to bump up to a wider tire and ordered 4 Pirelli PZero Rosso's (255/60/17) as the Michelins were shot at the end of last summer. Keep in mind they're summer only tires as I run Blizzak DM-Z3's in the winter.

Hi X5SND,

You installed 255/60 tires on stock rims (7.5X17)? I'm planning to do the same thing. Can you share your experience? Thanks.

Hi all,
I've got 19's on my 01 4.4 and can't find a true snow tire for these wheels.
Any suggestions?
I live on top of a mountain at Lake Tahoe - 15' -20' of snowfall is normal so I gotta have good rubber!
I'm transitioning from an Audi A4 and ran the Hakkepallitta's (sp?) - great snow car and great tire.
Thanks

Yes that is correct, 255/60/27 pirelli pzero rosso assymectrico's (SP!?)...As for experience ive only driven maybe 2000kms on them but heres what i noticed so far....
1) I replaced the energies (235/65) when they were down to 3/32 at all 4 corners, and noisy as hell. Despite the rosso's have a higher load capacity (106 vs 104) and a shorter minimally shorter sidewall the rider is MUCH better (quieter and softer).
2) The appearence of the truck looks somewhat more grounded with the slightly wider tires but yet doesnt look like your riding on bloated jambusters.
3) I absolutely hated how the energies would pick up alot of the road surface, im not sure if that was because they were worn pretty good or what but i was definitly pleased with the change, put the luxury back into the ride qaulity of my X.

I think thats bout all that comes to mind for now (just spent a week in the hospital getting a busted piece of lung removed..22 staples in my back and still collecting my marbles). If i think of anything else ill let you know!

Hi X5SND,

Thanks for sharing your experience. But first, how are you doing? Hope you'll have a quick recovery.I When you can, please pm or email me pix of the tires. Doesn't the tire wall extend too far from the rim? God bless.

Thanks! doing better than i would have expected, get my staples out tomorrow, just want to get my mobility back asap!
Ill try to get some pics up this week of the tires. The sidewall Extends out a tad bit more than the 235's but its barely noticeable... it definitely still retains the stock look.

I assume you have the staggered 255 front / 285 rear?

Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 4x4
255/50R19 front
285/45R19 rear

on tire rack for $267 f / $248 r each.
