((Vredestein tires))

Anyone here about these tires..???
Here is what the seller says....

These tires are absolutely awesome and our customers have been speechless with the Vredestein tires. Vredestein was originated in Europe years ago and have now since brought to the USA!! Check out all the incredible reviews online!!

Twelve different tests were performed on these tires (six dry and six wet): aquaplaning, braking, handling, safety and slalom. Vredestein got the best score of all outclassing tire producers such as Pirelli, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin, Hankook and Toyo. I can assure you that you will be very thrilled with these Vredestein tires!

Here is a pic...nice tread pattern....

I've got some of this brand for my 2004 X5 4.4i. But they are the winter tires, the Wintertrac model, I actually have them in size 19s (255 up front, 285 in rear).

I'm up in the Chicago area, and we are just getting all our snow outta here, I used them the whole winter. I found them to be great- I never had any traction issues, never felt myself losing the vehicle- and we got a ton of snow/ice this year. I was pretty impressed, driving easily in deep snow in that size tire was a bit of a surprise.

I seem to remember that the wheels come from the Netherlands, all the reviews I read before buying were pretty positive. I was under the impression their rep was mostly related to their snow tires. The guy who sold them to me said that many of the smaller plows/salt trucks use them.

I went from some Bridgestone Potenza summer performance tires to these in around October. All I can say is I got what I wanted/expected- very good snow performance, but not as sticky in the dry (not bad, though) e.g. around corners and the like. They are louder. Not much tread wear in the 5-6K miles I have had them.

I paid between 8-9 hundred for 4, balanced and mounted.

I am looking at their summer tires as I want to go to a more performance-oriented setup with spring "supposedly" here (there was STILL a prediction of snow the other day LOL). Haven't decided yet, stewing over possibly going +1 on wheels size. The summer tires I was looking at were Sessantas and were going for around $900 for a set, bottom line.

Hope that helps...not a tire expert (little disclaimer there).

Thanks for the response. I have posted on e46fanatics as well. Not much so far. Living in Florida I just need an all season tire. Thanks...

I have had them on for about a month now. I think for the price it cant be beat. So far they ride great nice and quite and handle amazing in the rain. I paid 860 for staggered 20's mounted and balanced. I think visual appeal the tread design can't be beat. For the price I doubt you will be disappointed.

On a side note if you check some of the corvette or srt8 forums you will see alot more positive reviews in regards to traction off the line. They are suppose to have an amazing hook off the line on alot of the vettes.
