First issue with the E60

CEO starts the 530i and the brake pad fault light comes on. It dissappears and on come the DSC light. So of course I doubted her because she described it differently. So this afternoon I got in drove down the hill and turned around to go back to the house and Bam both of those warning lights came on. The breake pad warning light went out but the DSC is still on. So off to East Bay BMW on Wednsday. Wonder what electronic ghost is messing around inside the system?

did you have your steering angle sensor replace yet? There is a bulletin out for all 5er's and 6er's. Jim/Alan and the guys will take care of you.

Went in to Eastbay BMW this morning and they did indeed find that we needed the part. This was our first warranty issue and it was a pleasant experience. It's on order. Thanks for the info.

Josh - What SB are you talking about? I am having some problems with my 650i and wondering if this is related to the SB you mentioned in the post. Do you have a link to that SB?

It's actually a pretty common problem Peter. I don't have the SB# with me. Perhaps Barry has it.
