Get the coupe. We'll match. When I ordered mine, they told me that (depending on the amount of mileage I accumulate on my 330xi between now and then) I'll be on the road for about $38,000. That's $2600 under base MSRP.
Ordered a 335i Coupe 6-speed Nav Premium Sport Comfort Access PDC

I ordered a 335 sedan a month ago and was only able to get 1% off MSRP. The demand is just too high to work off invoice like normal. Most 335s (coupe and sedan) are back ordered for months.
Mine loaded was 49k, w/ 15k for 36 mon lease , 1k down (plus security & 1st payment) is running 650 - 700 /mon depending on what MF I can negotiate. (Buy rate = .00150 - BMWFS asking .00205). BMWFS has a multiple security deposit program that allows for up to 7 security deposits which will reduce your MF by .00007 each. You have to compare what return you can get on your money invested over your lease term to the payment reduction to decide if it's worth it for you or not. Here's a link that might help. http://bmwblog.net/?p=299

Coupes, I agree. They are in high demand - they only have 2-3 335i's at any given time. |

Ryan,
I can't criticize the car choice as the 335 in either coupé or sedan iteration but the money down is a bad idea. There are many, many posts on other forums about leasing but the general consensus is to not put any money down in the form a cap cost reduction. That money is gone for good and if the car gets stolen or totalled the next day, you ain't getting that money back. Wpcmac mentioned the BMWFS multiple security deposit option. That will reduce your costs but it's money you'll get back at the end of the lease. It's just a matter of whether you can/want to part with the money up front. I would advise not putting any money down other than the fees, but consider the MSD option. BTW, if you want to check with my sales guy I can give you his info. He's always been a very straight shooter with me. It's worth a shot, right?

I got $4100 off MSRP due to the buyback. Without haggling though, local dealers in the bay area will do $3000 off. If you are getting 1% or whatever, you guys are not talking to the right dealer or the right people. There are still a $1000 incentive on the 328i and 335i's that's the dealers are getting paid on from BMW. Do your research before going in and you will come out way under. Another thing, do a dealer locate across the US for the car and they will trade it. Also, you will get a much better deal on cars on the dealer lot rather than ordering.
