Good luck with your new ride, your 6 is beautiful...one thing I noticed when I was in LA a few months back is everyone out on the left coast has a vert 6, I saw grannies, 18 year old kids and everyone in between driving them! Funniest thing was all of the 6 verts I saw were black, you would think that as hot and sunny as it gets on the coast more people would choose white, silver or any other color than black...

^^^^^^^ Thank you!!

as for lots of people having vert 6ers, it's probably because of the people who like to get nice cars, so many are from SoCal -- hence the verts -- and most people in SoCal like whatever is flashiest, or at least newest. That said, if you agree that the 6er's primary competior is the SL Mercedes, i have to say i see FAR more SLs out here than 6ers. And as for choosing black? What can I say: it's my Persian genes kicking in lol. :shrugs: Gotta have the black bimmer lol

The light switch should be in the parking light position. Your angel eyes, side markers, and taillights will come on.

I'm guessing the post-facelift 6ers have the angel eyes on as DRL, similar to the X5, 5, and 3 cabriolet/coupe.

Thanks Phil- and yes, I checked iDrive... various light-related settings but curiously nothing about DRLs.

Speaking of iDrive- it's REALLY slow for the first few minutes after starting the engine. Like, takes forever to open up various menu options.

Is this normal? Will upgrading the software to the latest build help much?
