One thing people should know is that the Z4 is doing very well on racetracks arround the world - that is probably the biggest succes of the car. For that reason alone I think BMW is perfectly happy with it.

I switched from a Z4 3.0si to the x5 4.8i, its was a fun little car to drive, but its very tiny, and you feel every bump on the road. Plus you dont get much of the bells and whistels you get from the bigger BMW's, very simple, very basic controls, but its sporty. I remember the days where Id turn off the DSC and the car slides into turns with a flick of the steering wheel, very nimble.
I miss the quick power it delivired. But love the huge space the x5 gives. Also love how I can go thru rain puddles without the car moving an inch off course. But it was nice, I had a lot of comments from people for the Z4. Too bad its going out of production. |

I agree 100% with the way the X5 feels in the rain, solid as a rock. |

Im driving a 535 loaner while they update software etc with the x5, and boy now I really understand why BMW is the ultimate driving machine, handling on all cars is great (all have sport packages too) I cannot believe how easy it is turn quick on the road which has bumps and the x5 goes straight where you want it to go. All bmws I have driven have excellent handling and power curves. |
