Isn't the point of a 7er to drive comfortably down the road, instead of chopping it to pieces? I mean, a super executive sedan should be luxurious and ride well while having a decent driving experience, but the 3rd point takes a backseat to the first two. Why would one want a stiff-riding, high-revving executive sedan?

I guess for the same reason they are making an M X5/6. Because people seem to want the highest performance version of models these days regardless of size and shape.

Why do people put 20 or 21" wheels on S-class and 7-series?

They do? I wouldn't. Then again, I'm not very cognisant of this class of cars. Too big and expensive. If I wanted an executive sedan, I'd pick a 550i or a 535d sport.

The best of both worlds. My brother has the B7. He can cruise comfortably with the family or customers and blow off some steam and have fun when he feels like it.

It's the perfect car for a schizophrenic

Tell me about it... One of our B7 customers left the alpina badge, removed the B7 and put 007 in its place

I asked hiw why, he said "because it looks like the batmobile"!
