I'm on my third 1er, and I really love the cabrio. I ordered a coupe for the winter months, but my current cabrio came in early. This weekend was a perfect 65 degrees and all I wanted to do was DRIVE! Other than cargo room (which isn't bad) name a better car. POWER check. HANDLING check. ROOM 4 4 check. PRICE...well, almost perfect. I like the way the convertible handles better than the coupe. I felt like the coupe should have been the best before driving it for 5 months, nope. There is more understeer in the coupe, better balance in the cabrio. I know it's heavier, but it does not feel it.

a 1-series IMO is too small for a college kid, and the X5 is way "Tougher"

well, unless your son is like me and baby's his car like i do, then any car would work for him
Haha, if you have a 135i you don't get stuck sober driving people around every weekend.

D, You causing trouble again, up in Jackson or Haywood County?!

I'm not back there until late April, for your Bail Call.

I wish I had a 1er.........I really do like pretty much every iteration of the 1er (hatch, coupé and cabrio). Now if we could just get EfficientDynamics and a diesel motor. The interior is better thought out than the 3er and not that much smaller. I also kind of like the exterior and the fact that it's kind of rare to see one on the road.

What happened to the "obey all local laws and regulations" part of the BMW disclaimer?

the 123d is one sweet engine. At this point hoping for any diesel engine in the 1er that is 4cyl.
